Jerry W. Daniel, originally from Middlesex, earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland. He worked in Washington, D.C. as the student union director for Montgomery College and returned to North Carolina to work as Director of Corporations for the North Carolina Secretary of State's office.

He currently serves as the Vice-President of government relations for CT Corporation.

Daniel said serving on the board is a great opportunity to learn more about health care-one of the most important issues facing Americans.

"This is a great opportunity to give back to the community," he said. "I've been so impressed by what I've seen at Nash Health Care. The hospital staff has a total dedication to quality."

Daniel and his wife, Diana, have two children and five grandchildren.
