Nash Health Care Foundation kicked off its 2012 fundraising year on January 21st in style and elegance with the second annual Patrons Gala benefitting the new Pediatric Emergency Care Center at Nash General Hospital. Nearly 400 guests attended the Foundation’s black tie dinner-dance, named the Patrons Gala, at Benvenue Country Club in Rocky Mount.
Sharon P. Crestetto, a Board Director of Nash Health Care Foundation, was the Chairman of the event for the second consecutive year. The event exceeded its fundraising goal of $175,000 with a total of $194,090. With the leadership of David R. Broyles, Chairman of the Gala’s Sponsorship Committee, $143,000 was solicited in sponsorships ranging from $1,000 to $15,000. Sponsorship Committee members included P. Cameron Blalock, III, John F. Congelli, Brenning J. Daughtridge, Richard A. Holmes, Jacob R. Parrott, III, Robert T. Skelton and Roger G. Taylor. The Gala’s Ambassadors included Tonya W. Blalock, Julia Congleton-Bryant, Mary Beth M. Crawford, Anne W. Kinnaird, Catherine C. Lilley, Peggy P. Peacock and Rita B. Strickland.
The North Carolina-based construction company Rodgers was the event’s Presenting Sponsor. At the Gala, a champagne toast, offered by Vince C. Andracchio, II, Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of Nash Health Care, honored the company’s generous financial support of the event and recognized Rodgers’ 10-year relationship with Nash Health Care and their leadership of the Emergency Care Center and Heart Center construction project.
