Responding to the demands of the community’s health care needs once again, Nash Health Care Systems opened the Bryant T. Aldridge Rehabilitation Center in November 1999. Named after NHCS’ long-time president and CEO, Bryant T. Aldridge, the 23-bed facility offers comprehensive rehabilitation services for brain trauma, stroke, joint replacement, degenerative disease, spinal injury and more.
The pursuit of excellence at Aldridge Rehab Center is evident in its architecture and beautifully landscaped grounds. The 45,000 square foot facility’s décor is fully functional while providing patients and their families with a bright, home-like environment. The main corridor has the feel of an upscale hotel as it is lined with a mural of the city of Rocky Mount and features elements from a cityscape, including a street lamp, fountain and street clock. While the icons enrich the beauty of the corridor, they are also functional… serving as destinations or goals for rehabilitation patients. The center also features a therapeutic walking garden, gymnasium and therapeutic swimming pool.
