Crocker Earns Distinguished Medical Alumnus Award

Doctor Daniel L. Crocker, MD, a member of the Nash Health Care Medical Staff, was recently honored by the UNC School of Medicine with the Distinguished Medical Alumnus Award. Dr. Crocker was recognized for his tireless efforts to care for the people of Rocky Mount and his efforts to cultivate and support the arts.
The purpose of the Distinguished Medical Alumnus Award is to honor alumni who have significantly enhanced the reputation and prestige of the UNC School of Medicine through their lifelong careers of service and accomplishment. A committee appointed by the Dean of the School of Medicine selects the recipients from nominations solicited from medical school faculty and members of the Medical Alumni Association, according to information from UNC Healthcare.
Crocker, an oncologist, completed his residency at Parkland Memorial / North Carolina Memorial Hospital. He is board-certified in internal medicine, hematology and oncology. An enthusiastic musician, Dr. Crocker is an accomplished trumpet player.
