Nash Health Care will hold a FREE 2013 Prostate Cancer Screening for men age 40–70 years of age. This screening is just one of the FREE cancer screenings offered throughout the year. The prostate cancer screening will include a digital rectal exam (DRE) by a physician and a prostatic specific antigen (PSA) blood test. The screening will be held on Tuesday, November 5 from 6 p.m.– 8 p.m. at the Nash Cancer Treatment Center, Nash Day Hospital
Appointments are required, and because spaces fill quickly, those interested are encouraged to call the scheduling line at 252-962-8910 to set an appointment.
Through these community health screenings, Nash Health Care professionals have discovered stroke-level blood pressures, skin cancer, and signs of colorectal cancer. More than 70 percent of participants admitted that were it not for the screening, they would not have seen a physician.
