Hospice and Palliative Care of Nash General Hospital
Facing terminal illness or potential death is a very sobering experience. And there’s no reason any person should face that challenge alone. At Nash Hospice and Palliative Care, we respect your needs to address emotional, physical and spiritual support. That’s why we offer an experienced, qualified staff of chaplains, physicians, nurses, nursing assistants and other healthcare professionals who are ready to assist you and your family at home.
Nash Hospice and Palliative Care offers service 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We provide a wide range of assistance including medication for pain management and other symptoms, access to important medical equipment, nutritional and dietary guidance, bereavement and other products and services necessary to make life as comfortable and pleasant as possible.
When you have been caring for the community for as long as we have, you feel as if many of them are members of your own family, and maybe in some sense, they are. We believe that everyone has the right to die with dignity, and our staff strives to provide not only care for the patient, but support for the entire family.
In addition, Hospice and Palliative Care of Nash General Hospital presents several educational programs throughout the community. Knowledgeable staff members are available to speak to your group about end-of-life issues, including the importance of having a Living Will or Health Care Power of Attorney. The best time to plan these Advance Directives is before a crisis occurs.
Information on Advance Directives can be found right here on our website by clicking here.
Hospice recognizes that dying is a natural process and does not seek to hasten or postpone death. Care is provided in the patient’s home, nursing home or assisted living facility. For more information on Hospice and Palliative Care of Nash General Hospital, please call 962-8124.
