Dr. Lucas Martinez, M.D.
Dr. Martinez, a board-certified neurosurgeon, completed his medical studies at the Universidad Compultense in Madrid, Spain, and his internship at Bridgeport Hospital in Bridgeport Connecticut. He completed his general surgery residency requirements at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia and his neurological surgery residency at Hahnemann Medical College and Hospital, also in Philadelphia.
After residency, Dr. Martinez joined the faculty of Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, where he was an instructor and assistant professor for four and a half years. In 1980, Dr. Martinez joined the staff of Nash General Hospital. He was the first neurosurgeon to practice in Nash, Edgecombe and Halifax counties. He served as President of the Medical Staff of Nash Health Care in 2000 and 2001.
Dr. Lindsey Hughes, M.D.
Dr. Hughes received her medical training from the Brody School of Medicine of East Carolina University. She completed her surgical internship and her neurosurgery residency at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center. She also served as chief resident in neurosurgery at the VA Medical Center and the Chandler Medical Center, both in Lexington, Kentucky. Dr. Hughes is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons and the American Medical Association. Her hobbies include outdoor activities such as tennis and running.
Dr. Hughes is currently accepting new patients.
Dr. Raymond Baule, M.D.
Dr. Baule graduated medical school from The Mount Sinai School of Medicine in 1992. His postgraduate training includes a general Dsurgery residency at The Mount Sinai Hospital and neurosurgery residencies at Penn State University Hospital and Loma Linda University Medical Center. He completed fellowships in complex spinal reconstruction at Erie County Medical Center of The University at Buffalo and neurotrauma at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Elmhurst Medical Center of the City University of New York. Dr. Baule is board certified in neurosurgery and a fellow of The American College of Surgeons.
